Club History

Jonina Football Academy Ladies is a Women's Premier football club in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The football club was established in 2021 and is currently the only Greater Accra women's football team that qualified for the Women’s Premier League Southern Zone 2023. 

Jonina Ladies remained unbeaten amongst the 20 football teams in the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Women’s Division One League, and 6 competitive clubs in the Middle League from each region.

Jonina Football Academy Ladies in the beginning of their sports journey, has been tagged a tough and competitive club for women in the Region. 

Prior to our qualification to the Women's Premier League, We became part of the first three qualified division one team to partake in the FA Cup in our first attempt. 

The club has about 40 brilliant and talented but needy female players accommodated in a well-defined and suitable environment. They are being trained and groomed into their best by professional and Licensed Coaches.

 Club objectives  

To help young and talented female footballers achieve professionalism in their football careers. 

To become a long-term support system for less privileged footballers to achieve their educational and sports goals. 

To protect female footballers from being victims of social vices and teenage pregnancy. 

To obtain Foreign Sports and college opportunities for our mature and quality players. 

To provide football commodities to support their football career.
